Top Pops was originally titled "8 Top Pops" and was released on 10" LP format. This album was later released with some of Nat King Cole's early hits in a 12" LP, featuring four extra songs.

The 2008 Compact Disc version of this album features four more songs than the 12" re-release of this album.
