History Edit

"Body and Soul" was written in 1930 by Edward Heyman, Robert Sour and Frank Eyton, with the music by Johnny Green. The song was first recorded by Jack Hylton in 1930. After the song's use in the 1947 film of the same name, the song became recognized as a jazz standard, and now has been covered by several artists.
